ELTIM CS-modules
ELTIM High End / Reference Power Amplifier CS-modules

Unlike many amplifier modules on the market today, we did not try to make our modules as cheap
as possible, but as good as possible instead, one of the reasons why they are built differently.
At the same time we also didn't try to make them as small as possible, and made their
sizes exactly matching the cabinets we had in mind for them, resulting in very wide PCB tracks.
We only use highest quality, double sided FR4+ PCB's, made by Belgian Eurocircuits.
We also only use highest quality, new and original components.
Due to all this it becomes less hot, sounds better and nicer and
the life expectance is at least 15 years, good for you and our environment.
Our power amplifier designs are split up in two parts for more logical PCB layouts and way better, nicer sound.
An ELTIM input (VS) stage is processing small input signals and to be found on a similar page
and an output (Current) Stage processing large speaker currents, which are listed below.
![]() Running from DC up to 650kHz/-3dB is possible due to the use of extremely high quality parts, a most simple
and symmetrical PCB layout and use of a symmetrical power supply, where no output capacitor is required.
With this very wide spectrum the input/output phase error is <0,2º within the audio band > pure 1:1 sound.
With us there is also no output coil required resulting in a slew rate > 65V/us.
By now there are numerous replies stating that our amps sound amazingly good and can beat €10k+ amps.
To make selecting more easy we now supply complete, working packs as well.
These amplifier packs are also available for OEM and DIY-dealers. Contact

ELTIM L-mounted CS-output Stage modules.
More "regular" built CS-output stage modules where a separate power supply has to be connected.
Beside that you need to connect one of our VS- input stage modules as well.
|
||
![]() Combi example: CS-35 + VS-5s: 149x50x35mm
capable to deliver up to 150Wrms @ 4/8ohms.
|
CS-35 L-mounted, 30-125Wrms
ideal for active 2-way / stereo / bridged setups.

ELTIM L-mounted CS-output Stage modules with integrated power supply.
With these modules you just need to connect an input module (VS) and a
dual secondary windings transformer to complete the amplifier with integrated power supply.

The modules below are microphonic free sandwich mounted to a heatsink.
We developed four completely new CS-module types; even more symmetrical
and less complicated PCB design, more copper used, more space for quality parts, etc.
We also left out the side connectors for add-on modules, which about nobody used.
They exactly fit in specific MODU brand enclosures.
The modules below are available in High-End and Reference quality, only parts quality differs.
CS-150/250 are also available in a cost effective Standard version
with more "down to earth" parts like "regular" TO247 Hexfets.

CS-150L module with one pair of most lineair functioning 8A EXICON Mosfets. Size 290x75mm.
In this model we also use highest quality DALE and BOURNS or CADDOCK resistors.
Fits in MODU (Mini) Dissipante 300x80mm and Slimline 350x80mm up.
Fits on Slimline (with reduced power) 80mm flanks without drilling required.
Test connector for aligning 0Vdc output and idle current.
Expected rated power: >150Wrms. Successor of our respected CS-80 module.
We also made an economic (CS-150H) version with a pair of 12A IR Hexfets and "basic" resistors.

CS-250 module with two pairs of 8A EXICON Mosfets, total 16A. Size 290x94mm.
Economic (Standard) version available with 2 pairs of 12A Hexfets and 5% resistors.
Test connector for aligning 0Vdc output and idle current.
Fits in MODU (Mini) Dissipante 300x120mm and Slimline/Galaxy 350x120mm.
Fits in Slimline/Galaxy (with reduced power) 120mm without drilling the flanks.
You can use chassis plates on top and bottom at the same time.
Expected rated power: >250Wrms with optimal cooling. Info Bulletin

CS-450 module with two pairs of 16A EXICON Mosfets, total 32A. Size 330x94mm.
Test connector for aligning 0Vdc output and idle current.
Fits in MODU (Mini) Dissipante 400x120mm and Monoblock.
Fits in Slimline/Galaxy (with reduced power) 120mm without drilling the flanks.
You can use chassis plates on top and bottom at the same time.
Extra chassis mounted capacitors can be connected between the top capacitors.
Expected rated power: >450Wrms with optimal cooling. Info Bulletin

Why use linear class A/B amps where about everybody else switches to class-D?
We build ultra linear analogue amplifiers in a class A/B setting.
Today, while using ultralinear devices as we do, this "Class" thing has nothing to do any more
with quality but is purely an indication for the idle current setting of the Power Mosfets.
Our amplifiers already work more linear with very low idle current then various conventionally built class A amplifiers.
In other words: they sound better than old fashioned class-A, at the same time producing way less heat.
According to messages from customers, the former, way more "basic" CS-80 already participated in the top 10!
Class-D amplifiers usually "burn" less heat than linear amplifiers. True, but only while operating at high power!
Compared to our amplifiers and in daily household use, due to the low idle current setting and our
high-efficient (> 95%, where SMPS are 70%) linear power supplies, our amplifiers are about similar efficient as a total.
The ever returning issue about efficiency is a "hype" anyway because your amplifier is not outside, but in your
livingroom and its electrically generated heat is assisting your heating installation only a tiny bit!
Almost forgot: we make amplifiers to enjoy music, not to make plain power for a low price.
Also nice is that you can do that for at least coming 15 years as well. Good for you and our environment.
Compare and be surprised.......

With our new test connector you can use and old USB square connector cable to measure!
We made a document of how to reverse the Power Supply connections.
This is a smart solution to avoid crossing of the supply leads in f.e. a bridged monoblock.
This will make the layout of a single power supply board between them very simple,
because the power lines are not crossing on a PCB then.
